My Siamese used to jump to the very top of the cabinet, open the cabinet door, & slink inside behind all the bottles. The vet & assistants had to pull everything out, every time, before we agreed to keep him in the carrier until they were 100% ready for him.

this is a Non-Dry-Powder-Gang take that is more likely to make me look stupid than the others but: i cannot help but feel like if it's easy for us to gather information that fits a story, it would probably be easy for the storyteller to have gathered that same information before the story
you do not have to conduct yourself like a court, but circumstantial evidence is considered weak not because legal pomp or ceremony but because *it's very frequently wrong* (and oft pareidolia). i do think we should have *some* kind of standard for our personal beliefs, which is maybe disagreeable??

I’m not ready to dismiss the idea. We do have raccoons – and possums and skunks. Rabbits get into the garden and coyotes occasionally slink along the fences. But I didn’t spot anything either yesterday or today. Looks like I’m going to have to hitch myself into rugby clothes and get under the house.
