One of the loveliest aspects of researching Vernon Elliott is encountering the kind people associated with/interested in Smallfilms. Just received an amazing reply from Jonny Trunk of Trunk Records, about meeting Oliver Postgate and remastering and releasing Vernon Elliott's Smallfilms scores ❤️

The first episode of The Pogles was broadcast on this day in 1965. Produced by the Smallfilms team (Oliver Postgate, Peter Firmin and Vernon Elliott) the series only ran for six episodes, but was later revived for a longer run as Pogles Wood in 1968.
