Smilebit collaborated with h.a.n.d. (Puyo Puyo 7, 20th!! Anniversary, Puzzle Pop) for the series' sole GBA entry in the following year.

It's #RandomGameSaturday! The real-time strategy Hundred Swords (developed by Smilebit) was initially released only in Japan for Dreamcast. However, there is also a PC version that was released worldwide a little later. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play it yet.

Also, Sega‘s transition into third-party saw its semi-autonomous studios continue their creative output for a little longer until the Sammy merger in 2004. Amusement Vision, Smilebit, OverWorks, Sega Rosso, UGA; some staff remained while others departed (Tetsuya Mizuguchi), but the names vanished.
A lot of folks like to think of the original Xbox as like the successor to the Dreamcast, but you know, they put Virtua Fighter 4 on the PS2. And Super Monkey Ball on the GameCube, which is the most Dreamcast-ass Dreamcast game on the GameCube.

The original Xbox had Shenmue 2! Jet Set Radio Future! New Smilebit games like Gun Valkyrie! Panzer Dragoon Orta! It had Dead or Alive 3! From Software's Otogi! It definitely carried on the mantle of the Dreamcast, right down to the controller design.
And it really did feel like it was at least a partial successor to the Dreamcast, in that it had a bunch of SEGA sequels and continued the online console innovation I'd adored in Phantasy Star. I beta tested for Xbox Live and have lots of fond memories of playing MotoGP, MechAssault & ReVolt online.
