And we'll sell the trades for Snaketown for much more than they're worth.

Ok hang on I knew Knightfall was long but not “three omnibuses” long.

Also “Nightwing: Alfred’s Return” is like the fakest name for a comic I’ve ever heard, this is like Snaketown level

If I can do one thing as a comic fan, it will be getting Snaketown into the common lexicon

I am so thrilled my disaster YA contemporary books will be coming to Holiday House! We've had gay rights, now let's have some gay wrongs (or at least, incredibly ill-advised decisions involving 600 pythons).

I just got to deliver food to a neighbor at a place called Snaketown Circle in Goodyear Village, on the Gila River Indian Community. This is an honor and this place is special: its as close as you can get (physically/legally) to ancient Snaketown. Snaketown was inhabited since the year 300...

What was your biggest impact on the internet?

I’d like to say it was the podcast I’ve been running for almost ten years now but realistically it’s Snaketown

Or earlier. Snaketown’s core site (mounds, ballcourts, dense houses) was concentrated in one area, but the Hohokam lived in dozens of villages up and down the river. These villages were linked by canals, trails, and trade. Snaketown was the major hub surrounded by a network of smaller settlements.

The O'odham people made calendar sticks from the ribs of the saguaro cactus. They measured the year from one summer rainy season to the next. Organic material doesn't often survive from so long ago, so we don't know for sure whether the O'odham's Hohokam ancestors used calendar sticks in AD 1000.

You have to wonder if, because this ball court holds the same exact dimensions and matches compass heading within 1° to another at legendary Snaketown, were both courts build not by the same cultural people, but by the exact same ancient builders? About 10 miles apart, both inhabited at same time.

Really wish I had some seriation worthy contexts to explore this interesting combination of Early and Late Snaketown traits on the same ceramic sherd. Is it already recognized trace examples of these traits in anachronistic fashion?
