Day two of Southeast Snowgate. It’s definitely melting but I still don’t trust driving anywhere. Work is closed. Ordered food at a restaurant about five minutes from my house. I needed the time off though.

I recall last year, keeping an eye on the snowgate cameras as I was coming north to see the Old Blind Dogs at Strathdon and wasn't sure if I'd get through.

Snowgate was brutal. It is nicer over here but part of that is because it's a smaller community. The more people the more chaos. Pros/cons to both places. But at least here I am not supporting Elmo.

Gone snowy again around Strathardle. A93 blocked by vehicles. Snowgates open. Ember cancelled. Went out on xc skis for a while. Very misty as snow so wet. Hopefully school bus will run tomorrow at 8am as have meeting in Edinburgh at 11.30. 🙏

Edge of snow above the village. 'Normal' winters of old are now exceptional... snow only lying above 300m most of week. Just endless rain instead 😞 In past it would be at above 200m making it a bit brighter at least! On Ember commute to city. E11 Driver said Glenshee was bit wild but was on time!
