tbf I played anything from MoF onwards a lot less than SoEW-IN back in the day and SoEW-MS sound like a lot of trouble to get working now so how about no. I love that flying turtle but I'm okay with accepting historical revisionism and pretending he never existed at this point.

It's not exactly a beacon of Kindness and Understanding, but also, if ZUN actually wanted to insult someone around that time, he would just do it. You would 1cc SoEW and the score ranking would literally call you a 'waste of space' or 'beyond recovery' for dying or bombing a normal number of times.

Tried the extra stage, maybe SoEW and LLL but I found it quite reasonable in comparison, I got to “Maze of Love” in my first attempt and only really struggled with the attacks that are gimmicky/have a clear “solution”. Seeing your hitbox makes it way simpler

Man why both mobile Twitter and bsky should be so bad at uploading pics. Anyway the session itself took only 4 attempts, jumping from a 5 miss 2cc derust xd... Now I am not confined to just oh this guy is the 5 times SoEW Reimu C LNNer anymore.

Overall found it easier than SoEW, it has some hard parts but the stage is not that bad and half of the boss patterns are kinda free, overall pretty uneven but it’s much clearer in terms of readability

SoEW is probably a bombs issue. The bombs and rapid tapping is unbelievably op. You don't really have to dodge if you play like that. It's all about shooting stuff in that game

SoEW I find a bit jank although maybe that’s a skill issue idk
And PoDD I never cared too much for the versus games and that one I just never understood what is happening in the game and I never liked having to hope the boss just dies it feels inconsistent (again maybe a skill issue on my end)
