OC-tober Day 25: Bonfire 🔥👻

The Soarin’ Squids are gathered around for spooky ghost stories! See ALT TEXT for the Legend of the Stilt Squid.

The Legend of the Stilt Squid From the darkest depths of the deepest ocean trenches, lives a squid with tentacles so long, they have to be tied up to keep them from tripping over them! Because of its surreal appearance, this stilt-like cephalopod is actually quite lonely and misunderstood. Rumor has it, it crawled forth from the depths of its lonely trench in search of a friend. They drag on the floor and slither around the ankles of unsuspecting prey. Make sure you keep your feet tucked in before you go to bed at night, or the Stilt Squid will pull you under!

Hidden Talent pg. 1/2 —— Boomer is walking alone in the locker rooms, looking at his phone with a look of disappointment on his face. Boomer: It’s hopeless. I’m never gonna beat her. —— Suddenly his ears perk up as he hears a soothing song. Boomer: that heavenly melody —— Boomer walks into the target practice room where Lind is strategizing their next battle, whilst singing Calamari Inkantation to themselves. Boomer is awestruck by this hidden talent! —— Boomer rushes in, shouting and startling Lind. Boomer: HOLY CARP! LIND YOUR VOICE! Lind is now red in the face, thinking they were alone. Lind: ACK! CRIKEY BOOMER! —— Boomer quickly explains the situation to his confused teammate. Boomer: AHH LIND! This is perfect! Red, me and our friend need a singer for tomorrow's Squid Beatz jam session. Lind is still confused by the sudden request. Lind: w-what? Hidden Talent pg. 2/2 Lind is taken aback by this sudden request to sing for Boomer, Red and a stranger they never even met. Lind: Me? Sing? Are you mad?! Boomer has an almost teary eyes expression whilst begging on his knees. Boomer: No! I'm desperate! We need to beat Ami's score or I'll never hear the end of it! Lind: ABSOLUTELY NOT! —— Lind thinks to themselves, deducing Boomer’s plea as Blaster main trickery. [Lind: Damnit! He's using cheap arse Blaster tactics!] —— Boomer brings back the pleading eyes as he begs once more. Boomer: Lind...please? As a friend. Lind groans to themselves [Lind: DAMN IT ALL! He's so pathetic! ] —— Finally defeated, Lind sighs. Lind: Gya, fine! but you owe me one! —— Before Lind can say anything else, Boomer shouts out. Boomer: SHELL YEAH! We already got the costumes and everything. We'll meet up at The Shoal, tomorrow! Lind’s ears twitch and they stare at Boomer blankly. Lind: Wait, costumes? -End
