Well, the socialdemocratic Nordic countries have the strongest and most sustainable economies in the world.
So, it's better for all in the long run.

Most people reject socialism in the meaning of the real existing socialism of the former soviet union and other eastblock states, or cuba's system. But in western europe socialism has already for decades been integrated in the normal political spectrum, as part of socialdemocratic politics. 👇

So I suppose people who find appeal in such ideology feel increasingly orphaned and sometimes join social-liberal wing of socialdemocratic movements (of variety that doesn't throw them under bus).

Sweden is often seen as a socialdemocratic country, but we have been moving toward neolib since at least 4 decades ago (high taxation of labor still, but capital and wealth...not so much, to put it mildly😅)
