Ask yourselves: Are you building the open #SocialWeb for yourself or for the non-techie people?

If it's for the general public, then put #PeopleFirst. Split the backend from the frontend. The people shouldn't be migrating/importing within the Social Web.

Until then, we're still platform-locked.

I am really thankful for Atproto, even though a year ago I had my doubts.

Thanks to @quillmatiq.com and @thisismissem.social, they've shown me that ActivityPub and Atproto are not competitors, quite the opposite, and we're all in this together.

Actually, it doesn't matter if it's off or on. Google is not indexing any Bluesky post. I haven't seen a single Bluesky post appear since. Even on the Fediverse side, it's as if Google set it so Federated #SocialWeb posts don't show up because they can't tell which is the canonical link.
