#Solipsist
Bestowing personal freedom on each individual human is inefficient, it should all be given to me, soulless husk and genuinely unsettling solipsist, Sam Altman.
BREAKING: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is an inefficient use of the world’s limited DRAM supply, arguing it would be better allocated to data centers, per Tom’s Hardware

Anyway, Dexter is arguably a solipsist narrative, so let's be careful about labeling the podcasting jock a Sunni icon.

Bordering on solipsist.

On the frustrating side, it’s looking very much like we could have defeated the GOP in Montana if the idiotic solipsist Alani Bankhead had just dropped out of the race instead of sapping 12% of the vote down her spoiler drain 🤷🏻

Sovereignty is inherently solipsist.

Solipsist in Chief.
by "greatest economy in history," Trump means he has more money than he ever had before.
Trump: "I'd love to run again ... I would love to run. They had a poll the other day where I beat everybody by so much. I'd love to run ... we have the greatest economy in history"

Exactly. The lack of understanding is a lack of perspective imo, but being able to see through the eyes of a true solipsist is nauseating tbh.

James Blish’s ‘Spock must die!” (1970) addressed this in the opening chapter.

I'm not a humanist, I'm also not a technofacist. I'm not a socialist and I'm not a solipsist. I'm definitely NOT confused.

they don’t hear the reaction, that’s not who they are. She sued because she’s a solipsist who demands everything on her terms, not to get in the papers and be talked about

Good sir, your solipsist puts me in mind of a fellow who thought every man's head held his own thoughts, which is base for a soldier and worse for a voter; for to write and read comes by Nature, but to think another's mind comes by no wit at all.

Luckily, people don't vote according to someone's feelings, and feelings are not dependable measures of reality. A person whose entire perspective and being is that is just a solipsist.

When you realize she’s a solipsist and is talking about for her specifically it makes sense

Sci-fi short story master Frederic Brown was born on this date in 1906. Brown’s work influenced a generation of writers. Works like “Arena” (1944); “The Waveries” (1945); “Hall of Mirrors” (1953); “Earthmen Bearing Gifts” (1954); & “Solipsist” (1954) stand the test of time. He died in 1972.

Trump is a pathological liar who is a master manipulator. Trump is a "cult of personality". Trump is a grifter who has no foresight. He is also a solipsist who causes havoc and walks away. Trump has always walked away a loser ....

You get it!!! Yeah that's how it was to me. But I kinda like Larry David or a few things he's written that I read? He's not a solipsist. He cares about stuff. So something went awry there because ypu can make dark cynical comedy and still show people's humanity? This show didn't.

That’s because this is a cult letting a solipsist do whatever he wants.
October 26, 2026 at 2:05 PM
Counterpoint: What if you're a solipsist who doesn't really believe in anything except reflexive contrarianism? Huh? Huh?! WHAT THEN!!?

the thing about modern software engineering is that it is so solipsist by nature, "working together" is so against the grain that we have special terminology for it, "pairing"

so i guess i shouldn't be surprised when we rediscover the hard way that team work is about communication
