Bordeaux screamo band SOLITONE return after eight years with a politically sharpened new EP “Le champ des possibles”
French screamo has a particular way of getting in early. A few seconds of ringing tension, a voice already close to breaking, guitars that seem to be

Solitone: Trading Waves Inspire Fresh Visual Identity
Solitone: Trading Waves Inspire Fresh Visual Identity abduzeedo 04/24 — 2025 Explore Solitone's branding by Obrazur Brands. See how waves & data shape a unique financial visual identity. Hey design friends! Let's check out something cool today – the branding and visual identity for Solitone, a proprietary trading firm. Now, branding for finance can be tricky, right? It needs to feel trustworthy and modern, but often ends up looking a bit… stuffy. That's where Obrazur Brands came in. Solitone is all about transparent and fair trading. Obrazur Brands took these core values and ran with them, creating a visual language that feels both sophisticated and dynamic. Finding Inspiration in Waves The core idea? Soliton waves and technical indicators. If you're not familiar, Soliton waves are these interesting waves that keep their shape as they travel. Kind of like the stability you want in trading, perhaps? Obrazur Brands translated this into a minimalist brand symbol – two clean wave fragments coming together. It’s simple, memorable, and hints at movement and data. Building the Visual System But a logo is just the start. The real magic happens when you build out the full branding and visual identity. They developed a unique brand pattern based on those technical indicators you see on trading charts. It’s abstract enough to be versatile but clearly rooted in the trading world. To give it extra flexibility and a modern edge, they incorporated a gradient. We see this used beautifully across different applications, adding depth and visual interest without being overwhelming. The primary color, a vibrant 'Cornflower' blue (#7861FF), feels techy and trustworthy, balanced by 'Blackout' (#000000) and softer secondary tones like 'Aluminium' (#9EA1AD) and 'Off-White' (#F3F3F3). It’s a palette that feels current and professional. Typography That Speaks Volumes For the typeface, they chose Neue Montreal. It's a Grotesque font that has a clean, modern feel but with a bit of personality – Obrazur describes it as having "the spirit of a display font." What’s neat is how they use it. Instead of just standard text blocks, they vary the font sizes and align text with the branded pattern in some layouts. This creates a distinctive typographic texture that reinforces the overall branding and visual identity. Bringing It All Together Okay, so we have the symbol, the pattern, the colors, and the type. How does it all look in action? Pretty slick, actually. The provided visuals show the identity applied seamlessly across various touchpoints: * Digital: The website and integrated TradingView dashboard look clean and data-driven, using the pattern and gradient effectively. (Suggested Image: Image 1 or Image 12) * Print: Stationery like business cards and quote folders look sharp and premium. The wave symbol and pattern are used consistently. (Suggested Image: Image 11) * Environmental: Mockups show the branding applied to signage, adding a professional touch to physical spaces. (Suggested Image: Image 6 or Image 14) * App Icons: Even small applications like app icons maintain the brand's core elements. (Suggested Image: Image 13) It’s clear that Obrazur Brands didn't just create a logo; they built a comprehensive and flexible system. The branding and visual identity successfully translate Solitone's values of transparency and fairness into a visual language that feels modern, dynamic, and trustworthy. It avoids the typical finance clichés and creates something genuinely unique by drawing inspiration directly from the world of trading itself – the waves and the data. It’s a great example of how a strong concept, rooted in the client's core business, can lead to a compelling and effective brand identity. Want to see more from the creators?
