Tainted #12inchTuesday, following @slippydj.bsky.social's lead with the US release. #SoftCell #PeterAshworth #SomeBizzare
Front cover of the 1981 US release of Soft Cell - Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go, with artist name at top, titles at base, and a drawing of two dapper dancing Northern Soul figures with wedge haircuts by Kris Neat (one upright, arms aloft, the other in a similar pose but at a 90 degree angle). Back cover of the 1981 US release of Soft Cell - Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go, with artist name at top and the track listing: 1. Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go 2. Memorabilia 3. Tainted Dub Followed by a photo of Soft Cell and their padded room onstage taken by Peter Ashworth, Marc Almond singing with one arm aloft while Dave Ball lurks in the shadows behind a keyboard with a reel-to-reel tape machine to one side. Last are credits with small images either side (a microphone and a keyboard, both on stands).
