When proud-pied April, dressed in all his trim,
Hath put a spirit of youth in everything,
Yet nor the lays of birds, nor the sweet smell
Of different flowers
Could make me any summer’s story tell,

It was wonderful to welcome the amazingly talented @andrewfusekpeters back here just after the #WinterSolstice2024 to capture what must be the best yet image of the #solstice sun through the @sacred_stones_ltd #SoultonLongBarrow.

It's so beautiful and fleeting when this happens.

The winter solstice has just passed, and the days are slowly getting longer. But at Soulton Long Barrow, the magic of the sunset seems to linger a little longer, casting a warm glow on the stones.
