Staff recommended demolition of the former recreation and swim complex because of ongoing maintenance costs and deferred repairs. Council directed staff to put demolition on the CIP and to decommission and secure the building; the Boys & Girls Club said it would pursue fundraising to build a replacement facility on the 56‑acre parcel.
