Annoying if understandable. Classic is better-looking, friendlier, & in some ways more robust, but from what I gather it's also been keeping FA's backend shackled to a patchwork nightmare spaghettifest with legacy code from 2 decades ago. And an ornery legacy dev who resists "unnecessary" features.

like half the fun i get from factorio is sitting down and mathing out all the ratios for whatever i'm trying to make and the other half is designing the spaghettifest that'll make it and i would actually hate the game if i robbed myself of this experience because it would be so boring
