Who else comes home with their pockets full of storm debris? Kauri leaves, rewarewa flowers knocked off before they can bloom and feed the birds (one of our two proteaceae species I believe?) So much lichen, all different. Brisk but enlivening out there.#kikorangi

My harlequin bulbs are about the size of the tip of a finger and self propagate. Every year I find more tiny bulbs.

I’m going to try these fun looking daisies this year. 😃

remembered all my stickers and washi tapes that have been sitting around since I haven't been using my planner for a while and got creative with em
a page in a small notebook decorated stickers and paper / washi tape in mostly muted colors. the stickers are of the anatomy of lungs, an open book, a tall blue flower, muted white and red roses, a cream colored butterfly, and an old newspaper page that looks like an ad for bottled medicines or something. there are many different washi tapes, some with summer fruits like peaches and pomegranates, some with patterns in orange colors, one with a yellow honeycomb pattern and the butt of a bee, and a red and black one with white flowers and gold line details. another small notebook page of stickers and washi tapes. there are stickers in the background in 4 quadrants: top left is an old newspaper article or ad about flowers such as sparaxis and crocus; top right is the anatomy of the muscles in the neck shown in profile; bottom left is the anatomy of leg muscles shown from the back of the leg; bottom right is a map of some island nation with muted blues for the water. spaces between those stickers are filled in with washi tapes such as a white one with green leafy plants, a light blue one with sea creatures drawn in silver lines, and a small glimpse of that painting of cherry blossoms(?) from van Gogh. the next layer of stickers is 3 butterflies, in orange, purple, and pale blue, but the butterflies are mostly obscured by the topmost sticker, which is prinarily the anatomy of the intestines. this one is featured in the center of the page and is framed by washi tapes in white, pink, red, and black with various detail such as flowers and gold line details closer to the center of the framing. on the sides of this frame is written "SOMETHING WILL NEVER BE QUITE RIGHT WITH YOU..."
