No, I am saying that the provisional government was going to fight to preserve its own existence, which meant suppressing the Spartacists, and even if they had all submitted to the KPD the Freikorps already existed and would have fought the Spartacists either way.

(Noske was the SPD minister who unleashed the Freikorps on Rosa Luxemburg and the Spartacists. Scheidemann was the SPD chancellor who proclaimed the Weimar Republic specifically to head off a soviet type revolution.. social democratic betrayal of the working class in government etc etc)

anarchism is probably the most thoroughly irrelevant of the big 19 and 20c ideologies, both in its own day and today; it is mostly just a curious byway in the history of much more successful kinds of socialism

4. Speaking of Spartakus, there was a range of actions available to Ebert that weren't just "let the Spartacists take over" or "deploy the Freikorps". For one, given the lack of popular support for the uprising, it's possible that the government could've just waited it out.
