My background in #spatialEcology means I'm often thinking about how species move around, and how we can use this to plan urban areas where all residents have the opportunity to connect with nature.

An egret gracefully crosses the still, reflective water at Ngurgenboro (Herdmans Lake, Perth WA). The long-necked, white bird is walking from left to right, with ripples from its passing disturbing the still water. The perfect mirror image of the bird and some vegetation on the right is highlighted by the golden evening light, with soft clouds and vegetation on the horizon adding to the peaceful nature of the scene.
