Irish = An Spidéal, derives from "ospidéal", which in turn derived from the Insular French / Anglo-Normand, word "ospitel"

Irish music in any genre never had a better, a truer, a more beautiful and a more unique voice than Dolores Keane. Heard her sing when I was a small kid in Hughes' in Spiddal in the seventies. She went through the mill but she was brave and came out the other side.
