The feedback John refers to in his article from his recent book tour - about autism not being linear - is an issue many autistic people wish was understood widely. It’s recognised by the best of autism specialists but not understood by many in media, govt or GPs etc. Think ‘spidergram’ not line 😊👇

Господине, тука да не ви е Spidergram 😁

С моя така свикнах, че сега като зачезна, го търся къде е 🤣

Trying to write about Eminem is horrible because he's like a living spidergram of connections to other things - not directly but it's like he rhymes with everything (haha). I'm deep into this Houdini piece now and all I've talked about is Johnny Cash, Walk On Water and Spider-Man

The problem with the conspyramid is that it doesn't explain itself or how to use it. You can get there with a bit of work but then it reveals itself as the sort of spidergram everyone does anyway. 🤷

And you can’t stop me.

I really like this educational drawing & quote from Lil Penguin Studios

“Autism is a spectrum💛
Meaning autistic people have different strengths and difficulties. But there is no such things as very autistic or a little bit autistic”

that spidergram thing is gonna be like when loads of people do an iq test and they have to recalibrate the scores because the top and bottom 1% overshot them, the testing sample isn’t prepared for the autism rate on here so loads of people are gonna get 0s and 100s

I listened to this and while there are some interesting concepts, Suzanne O’Sullivan seemed to be misguided or misinformed about autism diagnosis. There is autism with and without intellectual disability. However, the “spectrum” is not linear from “mild” to “severe”, but a range of indicators 👇

I like this analogy! I have used the analogy of a spidergram chart before and this is a 3D realisation of a many armed spidergram 😄 I’ve also used the analogy of a mixing desk or graphic equaliser. Quite often helps ppl get over the false concept of ‘spectrum’ as a line from “less” to “more”.

4) Move towards profiles not rankings. Don’t play god by arbitrarily weighting certain characteristics, surface them all as a spidergram, and let the user decide what matters.

Anyone using Autogram's Spidergram crawler? I'm having trouble getting it to work...

an idea for how we communicate about where our expertise within HPC lies.

a spidergram might work better?

HPC is a broad niche, so much so in fact there are parts of it that may seem completely alien. So how do we communicate which parts of HPC we know about?
