Hele, Spilosoma vestalis žádný oficiální nebo běžně užívaný český název nemá. Ono je to u nočních motýlů kdesi v dálavě (tady výhradně podél západního pobřeží Severní Ameriky) docela pochopitelné. Napiš přástevník Spilosoma vestalis. Pokud bys chtěl být kreativní, můžeš zavést přástevník panenský. 😉

Mám název. Nemám český název. Dost možná ani neexistuje, ale třeba jo.

Spilosoma vestalis, rodem je to tedy přástevník, ale druhové jméno jsem nenašel.

I put all the potatoes in the basement. The neighbors showed me how to open the garage and all that. So yeah, it's not my basement lol. I gave them some corn cobs for their help.

I removed almost all the carrots and onions from the beds. So the most important work has already been done.
And here's my new baby. I found it in the garden and couldn't resist. I love hairy caterpillars. If the caterpillar is hairy, it will make a beautyfly. It is most likely a caterpillar of Spilosoma lubricipeda. The caterpillar is very shy, I gave her the main plants that they relatives eat, and she decided to eat nettles while I was working outside. Now they's not moving again.

Did it have an orangey/reddish/brown stripe down it's back? White ermine moth (Spilosoma lubricipeda) caterpillars are very speedy and covered in black fluff!
