Council amended the FY2018 capital budget to include $9,250,000 in general obligation bond anticipation note proceeds and authorized transfer of $9,200,000 to the Economic Development Authority to acquire the Boo Williams Sportsplex; the council approved the item after staff presentation.

The board authorized Mayor to sign a $1,760,805 contract with Victor Hall Construction to complete phase two of the Arlington Tennis Facility expansion — adding 12 pickleball courts, two tennis courts, parking expansion and alternates for a pavilion and maintenance building.

Sports Performance Hub told the Homestead City Council it would invest $5.5 million to renovate Harris Field and pay roughly $1 million a year for maintenance; councilmembers said the proposed 30‑year term and public‑purpose findings need more detail before a binding deal.
