I came so close to qualifying for the Limited Championship at Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets ! I lost in the finals to Shuhei Nakamura. It was a good run & he was a great opponent & we had fun splitting the 60 packs of collector boosters! See my sealed & (Japanese) draft decks below.

It was so great to run into Riley Knight doing coverage at Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets in Chiba, Japan and it was a lot of fun catching up with him as I’ve known him for many years and even did match commentary with him when I was around 6 or 7 😀

And here are the “prize wall” or “exchange items” at Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets . Some interesting things are that they display them all up front then you fill out a form to make your selections. There are also some “random” items available.

Another interesting difference at the event here at Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets in China, Japan compared to U.S. events is that instead of “prize tickets” they use a “stamp sheet”.

So I learned something new today - apparently for the Limited Championship Qualifier here at Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets in Chiba everyone builds their deck the day BEFORE the Sunday rounds. So my deck is all built and I’m ready for the matches tomorrow!

At Big Magic #SpotlightSecrets in Chiba they had an interesting lottery drawing for a chance to buy a Japanese Collector Booster Box of #MTGStrixhaven at around 50% less than market price! Over 1000 people entered for the 60 slots (I sadly did not get one).
