Good morning from our tiny village near London where the sun continues to shine and rainfall is at a bare minimum. Soon that oak tree and the others on our green will be in leaf and the daffodils around the sign will fade.
The sun casts long shadows through the bare branches of an oak on to the village green. In the distance some of the older village homes line the edge of the green. To the right, yellow daffodils circle the sign erected to mark the new millennium 25 years ago.
