#SpyCops
No doubt about it - that was the main takeaway from the 'spycops' legislation.

The discussion moves on to inchoate offences (conspiracy) and these were not considered as alternatives to terrorism offences, if they had been penetrated by undercover officers. Really not sure, in the light of the spycops inquiry, how this is in any way a "better" option

Just as the Undercover Policing (Spycops) Inquiry is finally getting to the modern era the government wants to shut it down... who'd have thought?? freedompress.org.uk/2026/10/30/s... #spycops #ucpi
Spycops cover-up: Conflicts of interest and a rigged consultation
When the Home Office launched its summer ambush against the future of the Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI), their ‘consultation’ was quickly recognised as rigged. After 10 years of controversial and devastatingly embarrassing revelations about abuses committed by undercover police, the Inquiry is finally getting to the modern era, and the government is seeking to shut...

Spycops cover-up: Conflicts of interest and a rigged consultation
Ben Leamy | 30 October 2026 When the Home Office launched its summer ambush against the future of the Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI), their ‘consultation’  was quickly recognised as rigged. After 10 years of controversial and devastatingly embarrassing revelations about abuses committed by undercover police, the Inquiry is finally getting to the modern era, and the government is seeking to shut it down. At the centre of this process sits Lord Hanson of Flint, the Home Office Minister responsible for the consultation. In June 2009, David Hanson became the Labour government’s Minister of State for Policing, Crime and Security, with direct oversight of counter-terrorism and covert intelligence units.

Nah, we know why they were spying on Bevan. You look at the spycops scandal groups and you'll understand that the establishment doesn't turn its surveillance on whoever. ('Whoever' here means the right-wing.)

This is a barefaced (and frankly cack-handed) bit of copaganda - basically, "aren't the French police awful, but how wonderful our police are different"

As though Orgreave, Hillsborough, spycops, etc. etc. Haven't shown perfectly clearly how the British police have been agents of state power.
Why are French police so violent? Their job is to protect the state, not the people
Officers are instruments of state whose job is to repress, rather than manage, public dissent

This NEW interview with the #spycops abuser, Andy Coles is reminiscent of the Emily Maitliss interview with Prince Andrew. Despite the desperate attempt to appear honest & credible, Coles’s creepiness & lies shine through. All love & solidarity with Jessica.
Out tomorrow, new short doc about #spycops sex-pest, Andy Coles who abused our very own National Treasure 'Jessica'. We haven't seen this yet so can't comment on the representation of this abusive, lying bastard but will comment further in due course.

The elite corporate oligarchy fascist coup has been active for decades.

From Thatcher onwards governments suppressed demonised and illegally surveyed left leaning, ecological, anti-war political groups. Creating a blatant political creep rightwards to fascism

I'm so stunned that spycops didn't get more scope.
Hard to compete with corruption and genocide I guess. But if you ever wanted to write a book what a fucking story.
