About ten years ago I was teaching an adult class and this boomer in the staffroom started incredulously complaining that one of his 19 year old international students from Malaysia knew Chopin but couldn't name all 4 of the Beatles. He was so smug/judgy it was all I could do to not flip the table.

It was delivered to the school where I worked for free-told them we didn’t want it. The photos and headlines were sometimes horrific for the children who picked it up and kindly delivered it to the staffroom. Teachers agreed-didn’t want it.

When I started secondary school in 1992 if you knocked on the staffroom door at break time the smoke that billowed out of the door gave the impression that the building was on fire.

When she had her winebeer she was in her house, now she wakes up confused on a couch in the ranger staffroom (I think) with 2 kids sleeping on campbeds. Did she drink, then come look after kids, but then pass out? Why are the kids sleeping in a staffroom? Why aren't they safe in a house overnight?
