yes but now google will probably tell u “stalag-might be edible”
If I ever learned a “pointy rock things in caves” mnemonic in school, I didn’t retain it. I would just look it up nowadays. Seems safer.

Gulag. Stalag. Concentration camp…

whatever
Florida is building a new migrant detention center nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” converting an airfield deep in the Everglades into one of the Trump administration’s most ominous additions to its immigration crackdown. FDT!

Excellent WW2 mystery from Billy Wilder. Dull, but visually impressive pre-code Orientalism. Post-colonial tensions with a career best performance from Dickie Attenborough. Surprisingly funny Blaxploitation spoof.

It's only escapism if you're studying prison breaks. Unless you're studying Stalag Luft III, in which case it's Great Escapism.

Our Minnesotans are, let’s face it, big-hearted and humane and courageous in ways that set good examples for us all. I see their bravery reinforcing that of other Americans who oppose of turning USA into Stalag 17. (Bovine aimed for 17 but there’s a distinct Stalag 13 odor around him.)
I’ve never been prouder to be a Minnesotan.

Another favourite wartime fact is that Peter Butterworth of Carry On fame - was a POW at Stalag Luft iii and was involved in the Wooden Horse escape.

When he later tried to audition for a role in the film he was turned down for not looking heroic enough.

That world is Stalag f**king Luft, and you should spend every spare moment working on your tunnel out; personal endeavours that you can fall back upon WHEN corporate inevitably broom you.
