There’s something special about sharing ownership of a cask of #Whisky with friends…and when the end result is as good as this you don’t mind having multiple bottles in your cupboard. This Staoisha from Bunnahabhain is simply stunning. No fancy casks required when the spirit is this good.

The third Peated Variant (staoisha I think ?) , A NAS From Coopers Choice 'Sherried Tobacco' , Bottled for the Islay Whisky Shop , Finished in a PX Cask , again can't beat a Peated Islay in a sherry cask !

Dram 3 - On the palate: Much younger than it nosed, with some hot chilli/pepper notes mingling with vanilla and salty peat. Quite simple, but also quite pleasing...nutty notes appearing with time . Perhaps a Staoisha from Bunnahabhain? #BlindDrams

Some interesting fare tonight. I don't know why I don't drink more Deanston, these two are lovely. The Woodrows is a bit dirty as you would expect but the fruit is still all there. #whisky

Palate: thick. Lovely chocolate, mint, smoke is muted like the smell on your clothes the morning after the fire, a hint of lemon refresher bar
