Good leaders know how to delegate. Spock was competent and effective, so McCoy's disappearance was in good hands. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestofPrinciples

This was a really strong B story in this novel. Loved the palace intrigue and Rayob’s motives. Desperate but it pays off #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestOfPrinciples

Eye catching bold design. Love the colors. Good use of character photos unlike some other covers that appear lazy. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestOfPrinciples

It was an ingenious solution. The Enterprise was the most powerful computer, though it was surprising that the Vokians accepted it so readily given the obvious Federation preference for Prup. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestofPrinciples

So relevant, it’s eerie! If only everyone were a fan of ST books (or just ST in general), we might not have so much pettiness and ugliness in our societies #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestOfPrinciples

Well , a distinct lack of Klingon dialogue, so boo to that lol
But seriously, the whole book was great. I thought it was funny when Spock couldn’t muster the goodwill to tell Wibb to LLAP

Gogg's supporters were mad because they didn't like the substitution, but Ceff made the right decision. It couldn't work to have her in the race. Even if she had one, her presidency would have a cloud over it the entire time. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekAContestofPrinciples

19a. The structure of this novel jumps between three interconnected plotlines, Kirk’s, McCoy’s & Spock’s, echoing TOS episodes like “The Galileo Seven” and “All Our Yesterdays”. Did that structure keep you engaged or did it make the story feel fragmented?
