Saw ALIENS for first time today. As good or better than ALIEN. Loved the “steadicam guns”; what a Cameron touch. Struck by how beautiful Lance Henriksen is in it. And I still suffer from Sigourney Weaver fever.

Kind of amazing that the cinematography wasn't nominated--I would have thought it, particularly in conjunction with the use of Steadicam, would have been a shoo-in.

You could've done this 20 years ago if you really really wanted to with a great steadicam operator and a very good focus puller but now it's just one guy carrying a 10 pound rig running around Vlad jr and it just works
