Elk Centaur, by Francois Lelong. #ElkCentaur #FrancoisLelong #Sculpture #Art #Nature #Pond #Elk #Man #Centaur #StevensPointSculpturePark #StevensPoint #Wisconsin #Photography
Sculpture of an elk centaur standing in a pond. The bottom half if the body of an elk, with its legs standing in the water. The torso and chest are a man with his arms held out a bit from his side. The head is an elk with large antlers stretching out above its head. The centaur is standing in the pond. Directly behind it are some tall grasses growing in the pond and behind that is more of the pond. On the opposite side of the pond is a line of evergreen trees and behind that a field. The sculpture is not solid metal. The arms and legs are both made of twisted metal that almost looks like pictures of exposed muscle. There is a hold in the stomach area of the beast where the two species are joined.
