There are nuances to this. Surgical improvements have happened. HRT used to be literally poison in the 60s and 70s (Google Diethyl Stilbestrol) and it isn't anymore. And trans people absolutely benefit from advice, education and affirming support to make better informed decisions.

I had my first two children in 1971/1973. In those days many women decided to bottle feed. After the births I was given #Stilbestrol to dry up milk. This had severe effects on some women. My next two were born in 1981/1984. I was told pills were no longer given & advised to take Epsom salts

Good grief Heather - words fail me. I read a lot your posts (& I count Turing as one of my hero’s - I don’t have many) - but this staggers me (& following you means it takes quite a lot to do that!). I had no idea of the continued use of Stilbestrol. Utterly appalling.
