FWIW, the struggle sounds very relatable. When first taking more "maths-ey" courses, I remember finding physics courses like statistical mechanics *much* harder than maths courses like measure theory or stochastics because I didn't have the physical intuition that physics students seemed to have.

I have to do this though. I want to get to the "Stochastics" class in fall 2027, and I need this and one more class to get there. If I get through the "Stochastics" class I'll supposedly be able to study SDEs at a research level as a mathematician.

The polling guys look generally crap at statistics/stochastics to me. It looks that in constituency projections, they add up the number of constituencies that a party is most likely to win, instead of adding up the probabilities of the party to win in each constituency (as the proper maths demands)
