Back home Stocksfield and Corbridge both have local Cunts in New years day every year.

Ran my first ultramarathon yesterday, 34miles from the Newcastle Quayside to Stocksfield and back. Ran with @deecooke.bsky.social in a little over eight hours. The banter with fellow runners and the marshalls was ace and I was smiling the entire second half. Definitely doing this race again.

II’m a Stocksfield Lad (Bywell is a suburb but predates the village by 1000 years) so it’s a personal history. A cousin worked on the Dam, it was a massive job creation scheme for the area.

Best area is south of the Tyne between Stocksfield and Slaley - light, sandy, well-drained soils, good for ants. And plenty of small woods. Always has been their county stronghold.
