I was lucky to read with Gillian Daniels at last year's Stokercon. She read the first chapter from Jenny Will Eat You Now and I knew I needed to read it when it came out. I just finished it last night and it's fantastic. It'll scare you, make you laugh, and make you cry, all in one sentence.

Thank! I've been a fan of Joe Lansdale for ages. I heard Grady Hendrix do his "Paperbacks from Hell" act at Stokercon a few years back. He was hilarious and as quick as a Gatlin gun. He was a joy to see and hear. You can learn from the best. They make it look so easy!

There appears to be a massive Frontier Internet outage at the moment, so my only current online access is through my phone. Poor timing, too, as Stokercon hotel bookings open in 45 minutes and I have no idea whether the mobile interface will be sufficient for me to grab my rooms. Fingers crossed!

Booked both my hotel and Amtrak tickets for next year's StokerCon, which will be — repeating last year — the easiest con commute I've had since I was a kid and all it took was a subway token. I board the train only a few miles from my home, and the hotel is just steps from the Pittsburgh station.
