Cracked Geode Ceramic Vessel Study
#CeramicArt #GeodeArt #StonewareSculpture #AIArt
A spherical geode resting on a dark matte ceramic plate, photographed from above. The exterior of the sphere features a rough, cracked surface in warm earthy tones of rust, brown, and charcoal, with a weathered, aged texture reminiscent of ancient stone. The geode has cracked open horizontally across its middle, revealing a stunning crystalline interior cavity filled with clusters of deep violet and lavender amethyst crystals. Interspersed among the purple amethyst formations are glittering golden pyrite deposits that catch the light with a metallic shimmer. The contrast between the rugged, dark outer shell and the brilliant, jewel-like interior creates a dramatic visual effect. The background is softly blurred in warm amber tones, keeping the focus on the geode. The overall mood is one of natural wonder and hidden beauty — a treasure concealed within an unassuming exterior.

One of the pieces from the #noborigama #woodfiring at Peters Valley. I love the yellow crystals on this handbuilt sculpture.
