Excellent work by @recommon.org exposing the government funded #BlueHydrogen and #CCS scam being peddled by #HyNet, #EETFuels and #Eni at #Stanlow. CCS is dangerous, expensive, energy intensive and unproven at scale. Shout out to @carolynthomasms.bsky.social.

#CCS is a boondoggle and #DESNZ is taking a "high risk approach by backing unproven technologies with large amounts of taxpayer and consumer funding" so the fossil fuel industry can get out of jail free. #EdMiliband should #StopFundingCCS now.

#CCS is a fanciful technofix which lacks a credible track record. Schemes like #HyNet will impose unlimited financial liabilities and huge environmental costs on the UK and help dirty energy to sideline renewables. The government must #StopFundingCCS now.
