#StormFranklin
In recent years we’ve seen major #SurfaceWaterFlooding linked to storms like:
⛈️#StormFranklin (2022)
⛈️#StormBabet (2023)
⛈️#StormHenk (2024)
All of these brought intense bursts of rain that overwhelmed drains and roads, causing localised flooding and damage.

Steamy Relationships: How Atmospheric Water Vapor Amplifies Earth's Greenhouse Effect - NASA Science
Water vapor is Earth’s most abundant greenhouse gas. It’s responsible for about half of Earth’s greenhouse effect — the process that occurs when gases in Earth’s atmosphere trap the Sun’s heat. Greenhouse gases keep our planet livable. Without them, Earth’s surface temperature would be about 59 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) colder. Water vapor is […]

Had a conundrum after my @LNER train arrived into Kings Cross a tad late at 12.45am! Never fear - Shared Mobility to the rescue! Took the opportunity to ride the London streets empty which is a glorious experience. Saved some @limebike's which had fallen over in #StormFranklin.

Yesterday in a soggy lull between #StormEunice & #StormFranklin intrepidly found the confluence of River Linnet with the River Lark just upstream of Bury St Edmunds Abbey Gardens. Both #chalkstreams an even grimmer colour than usual.
