This week, publisher Storytaco along with co-producer SHOWBOX Corp. unveiled their latest full-motion video project, one starring Lee Yu-bi in a story that looks to re-imagine the intense plot twists and emotional storytelling of K-dramas as an interactive game experience. Dubbed "Surviving in a Makjang Drama (working title)", this FMV has players take on the role protagonist who had been living a privileged life as a third-generation chaebol heir, only to suddenly find himself trapped inside the very makjang K-drama world he once mocked. In reality, he was the grandson of a major conglomerate chairman.

Last week, romance slash full motion video ("FMV") developer and publisher Storytaco announced its expanded H2 2025 release slate, with an emphasis on broadening supported platforms across PC, mobile, and consoles. With a console release of the company's positively received 'Five Hearts Under One Roof' romance FMV visual novel (currently available on PC via Steam) expected to make its way down the line, Storytaco have also detailed the three new titles they'll be releasing that incorporate new story themes and genre slash gameplay ideas into the mix. Per their press release:

This week, developer banjihagames and publisher STORYTACO dropped a Q&A regarding their up-and-coming roguelike card battler 'Elementail', which is slated to launch on PC via Steam in the latter half of this year. This small interview with CEO of Banjihagames Lee Yuwon covers the idea of the game, what the developer hopes to reach in terms of audience and the kind of game they're looking to ship, and STORYTACO's involvement in shipping the game. Elementail has players take on the role of magical animal wizards who are equipped with the best magical cards the wizard world has to offer.

Last Friday, STORYTACO and 3Y Corporation launched the "Winter Trip" DLC for their FMV dating simulation title 'Five Hearts Under One Roof Season 2' on PC via Steam. This DLC will also be made available on mobile platforms beginning on the 15th of October. In Winter Trip, the protagonist, who has been running the boarding house, steps away from his everyday routine and sets off on a winter getaway with Bbanggyul, Yu-jeong Yang, and Ssuzi. Unlike many FMV titles that focus on summer settings or resort-style locations, this DLC puts snowy winter at the forefront, offering a warmer and more intimate romance against the backdrop of a snowy travel destination.
