I was born with strabismus (cross eyed) which causes amblyopia and can lead to blindness if not corrected. After a couple of surgeries they were able to correct most of it, but I still can’t see normally even with my glasses on. Fuck him from mocking people like that.

As someone with strabismus, it's so weird & interesting to me that people don't consider Wyll to be disabled WHEN HE'S MISSING AN ENTIRE EYEBALL. Do you know how impressive his fighting skills are when he has no depth perception???

Some drs still call amblyopia 'lazy eye'. For me, the usual treatment - patching the 'good' eye was out b/c I had it in both eyes along with occlusion-evoked nystagmus in both eyes. But I was blessed: Philip Knapp, who invented the modern strabismus surgery, was my doctor.

We synthesize the anatomical basis of ocular and fundus torsion, contemporary qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, and disease-specific evidence across superior oblique palsy, pattern strabismus, pediatric and adult strabismus, and surgical follow-up.

i’m no longer trying to hide my strabismus in selfies. i’ve always been self conscious of how misaligned my eyes are but fuck that i’m not going to hate that about myself anymore
