A handful of radishes just plucked from the ground, French breakfast variety, de 18 jours seed variety from Baker Creek. They're long and bulbous at the end going from beautiful deep pink to snowy white at the tips before they quickly taper to long thready roots, still holding some soil Washed now, the radish bouquet on a well maintained cutting board, shiny and clean, showing off the pink to white transition better, and we see their leafy green tops, healthy with several stems A close up of one of the larger radishes in the bunch, the most tubular of all which is I think their ideal form, a slightly tapered Vienna sausage shape or a sleeping bag stuffsack

gearhead traveler nerds!

I seek a packable daypack:

* 14L minimum capacity
* packs either super flat or stuffsack
* waterproof (not just resistant; talking monsoon-survivable)
* at least somewhat comfy to wear all day

nice to have:
* laptop sleeve
* good internal organization

#Hammock #backpacking with #dogs in the #PNW. Hammock, underquilt, overbuilt, pillow and bugnet with tent floor are all contained in stuffsack. Tarp carried separately. Dog carries himself!

Northface just came out w an adaptive sleeping bag that REALLY works for me, a person with an autonomic nervous system disorder (can't control my body temp; trad sleeping bags too limiting re: temp)

It also has giant magnets instead of zips, comes in 2 lengths, could be packed in a small stuffsack.

Shake down ride... road and cobbles. Nothing fell off! I forewent the front panniers for a barbag, cutting down some lbs, and condensing packing choices. Arcade in Huddlesfield sells Czech beer... seems prophetic Komrad. (Note: I love that CZ had a velvet revolution.) 🇨🇿

Yep. Hubs has a stuffsack for a down jacket, but I prefer layers so normally just roll-and-tuck - I suspect I won't find a need for even more plastic.
