After grumbling for 30yrs waiting for the first 2 albums from Atlanta’s SUBSONICS to appear on our preferred format, we delinquents at Slovenly have taken the matter into our own leathery clutches & present the first-ever vinyl versions of “Subsonics” (1992) and “Good Violence” (1993).

of just how fucking COOL the rock still rolled at the dawn of its death, and prove that SUBSONICS - if you’ve been paying attention - remain consistent in their execution.

You are in good company. I had a hard time with the behavior of other people in the theater before a pandemic made it a hazard.
I can always get garbage popcorn and Junior Mints to enjoy at home. I’m to understand the only thing we’re missing is the bowel watering subsonics of Shai-Hulud.

There’s a garage near the Wellington Station with a beautiful brown Silver Shadow that comes out driven by a moustachioed gent in brown tweed, and if you happen to walk behind it you can’t hear anything while the subsonics liquefy your peasant innards

Pretty much don't fuck with any of the herbivorous megafauna there.
(Fun thing: at the Oregon Zoo, I got to hear an elephant roar. Not *trumpet*, but *roar* -- similar to a lion but very obviously more subsonics. It was *terrifying*. I loved it.)

It's the local DJ equivalent of that episode of Murder She Wrote where she teamed with Magnum PI - on 5 September, Milk residents Full Fat are teaming up with the excellent Vaultage crew from the Three Guineas for a special late-night journey into bass, beats & subsonics.

(Which makes all the "subsonics" and health impact of data center posts going virial suddenly make clear sense to me, and I actually think everyone needs to really lean in to those to get groundswell, heh)

Looks like Louder has shared my recent piece in Prog on Hawkwind's debut album... www.loudersound.com/music/albums...
“Our music comes from all the trips we’ve had”: The birth of Hawkwind
Hawkwind were built around making music from a radio testing device, impressing influencer John Peel and using subsonics to make drunk people physically sick

I dont think "Compulsion" is the answer here. I'm thinking "Mere Exposure".
Say someone were to do something like... I dont know...
Add the wave-form under a sound track of an emensely popular hypermasculine film.
Or modify the subsonics on every Alexa between Collumbus Ohio and Reno Nevada.

There were quiet pops. 5 of them. Probably a suppressed .22 with subsonics. It wasn’t an assassination attempt- they just lit the damned Reichstag on fire.

I've never had a problem running 9mm subsonics with a silencer on an automatic pistol but I always had the correct piston (Nielsen device) setup.
