9. Bigg City was ravaged during the Second World War, in modern day, you'd hardly believe it was once a bustling metropolis. The only remnant of that rich maritime history is a plinted diesel tug, who formerly ran under the Zed Stacks.

11. Vicarstown has a military museum, established in 1990. Bradford the Brakevan can be found there, often arguing with the (unfortunately) Preserved Bluenose. Many others, including the Skarloey's beetles, could care less.

3. Related to the previous post, in order to manage these engines, in 1985, Sir Charles and Sir Stephen negotiated with British Rail to purchase and upgrade the Cumbrian Coast Line from Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle.

10. Speaking of the Tugs, Tidmouth had its own fleet of 6 beginning in 1920. 2 Ocean, 2 Harbours, and 2 Switchers. These six have long proven their usefulness, even with the arrivals of the Bigg City fleets in 1945.

16. Following Wilbert's visit in 1993, CGW commissioned a new Hunslet Austerity to correct on flaws from NCB and LNER/BR work. The engine would awaken the next year, becoming NWR 70 "Charlotte".

8. Crovan's Gate Works, colloquially known as the Steamworks, was opened by the S&M in 1899, though it'd never have a chance to service those engines, as the railway would shut down in 1902, with the last Great Waterton service running in 1905.

17. The MSR board of directors once planned for a railway up the mountain of Culdee Fell, but due in part to the recent Cataclysm of the Ward Fell Light Railway and a rather major accident on the budding Snowdon Railway, the plans were shelved.

1. The first railway on Sodor was the Ward Fell Light Railway, with it's first engine being built and fired in 1850, an engine lovingly named for her designer's girlfriend, Tasha. Two more engines would arrive, but by the turn of the century, the line had collapsed.
