Finally, I don't often do anime scene references for this glam series, but this shot from the Träumend opening was too iconic not to replicate! Meanwhile, seeing the ethereal scenery in Yak T'el put me in mind of some of the Dream Worlds and the World Tree that the twins can traverse.
Suiseiseki and Souseiseki posed as mirrors of each other in front of dark, stained glass window atop a staircase. The gothic atmosphere, blank doll-like expressions, and dramatic lighting is meant to evoke a shot from the Rozen Maiden: Träumend anime opening. Souseiseki stepping over a tree root and leading a fearful Suiseiseki by the hand through the mysterious forest of lower Yak T'el. She is wearing the stained-glass-like Sainti of the First Light at her hips. Around the two, strange wisps and glowing lights dance through the air. (The glowing dots actually look a bit like the twins' familiars, Sui Dream and Lempicka.)

There isn't anything in the game quite like Suiseiseki's layered skirts, headdress, and signature watering can, which made her job and outfit difficult to pin down. In the end I went with Gatherer classes for her, but this could also work as a Healer glam!

My FFXIV character, Alice, dressed up as the twins Suiseiseki and Souseiseki from Rozen Maiden. "Suiseiseki" wears a white veil (Anemos Constellation Turban) and a long, ruffled green dress (Courtly Lover's Surcoat of Fending and Ascension Longkilt of Healing) with the Resplendent Fieldfiend's Hatchet on her back, while "Souseiseki" wears a black top hat (Mirage Hat), a princely blue jacket (Baronial Jacket) and breeches (Academic's Breeches) and is leaning against the Edenmorn Halberd. Both have matching black shoes (Patrician's Gaiters). The characters are standing together in the Yesterland section of Living Memory, where golden light shimmers over a nostalgic recreation of a small town. Rozen Maiden was the biggest influence on my early anime artstyle. I watched both seasons of the anime and I love the artstyle from the 2013 version so much. Their eyes were so pretty! Not to mention the lovely character design 😌

So, weird trick I found out last night...

Cuz I have a mild cataract in my right eye and a lens implant in my left, my left eye sees black-light as really bright but my right eye sees it as especially dim.

Which means I get a very disorienting strobe effect when looking at black-light.
