Popped out to see The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive as they stopped in the local country park earlier. Took my Mamiya M645 with the 80mm 1.9 and my Leica M2 with a 35mm Summaron 3.5. As usual, I got asked if the Mamiya was a Hasselblad. Close enough 😂 #BelieveInFilm #ShootFilmBeNice

Long-term followers will know I talk often about my love for the Leica 35mm f/3.5 Summaron and that I think I might like it better than my much more expensive and prestigious Summicron. But what I haven't shown as much is how the Summaron is also much more pleasantly tiny.
A very small chrome lens next to a larger black lens. The same two lenses with their hoods, which has made the larger lens even larger yet relative to its neighbor.

A shot taken while walking the abandoned streets of a recently completed historical amusement park before its grand opening. Ironically I didn’t notice until many months later that the kanji on these pillars were promoting a vintage film studio for photo ID’s, passport photos and such. But everything was new, made to look old. Very, very well done. The Leica Summaron-M 28mm F5.6 may actually be the perfect street photography lens. It’s razor sharp, contrasty, has excellent color rendition, and of course is exceptionally convenient with its low focusing worries. 😍😍😍

My girlfriend and I were trying to find a nice hotel to stay at. She’d called the hotel we most wanted to stay at only to be told that they had no vacancies, but that they could accommodate us at a very nice alternative property. That property turned out to be a sprawling luxury resort dedicated to worldwide history and geography that had just been completed, but had not yet had its grand opening. We were one of maybe 12 or 20 couples staying in a giant luxury resort and amusement complex meant for hundreds of thousands of people at capacity. Imagine having DisneyWorld almost completely to yourself! There were famous worldwide locales like Italy, Portugal, Thailand, New York, England, etc, etc, and of course China. This image was a typical view to be had walking in this park. Many shops and restaurants were already opened, and this shot I snapped from inside a coffee shop.

I have a Summaron 35mm from 1959 and an Elmarit 28mm from 2007. Both are magnificent in their own way. When you take the M8's crop factor into account, they become a 50mm and a 35mm approximately. Do you not use a wide-angle lens at all?
