This is a good question so I thought I'd share the answer. He just takes a gargantuan fuckin' scoop! It looks awesome as hell. Here's a silly little supercut of Terutsuyoshi throwing salt many times in a row.

I'd love to see the daily matches in Juryo and Makuuchi, in-depth breakdowns of different techniques (not just kimarite), examinations of each new banzuke (why this guy got promoted more than that guy, etc.), and updates on injuries.
If you can get Ter from SumoStew to help, she's brilliant.

+1 for SumoStew. I feel like sumo fandom skews more female than a lot of other sports, but we have almost no representation in the commentary ranks. I did notice NHK had a woman doing some assisting/translating a couple bashos ago, but have since stopped watching the NHK English broadcast.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdUG... this is really neat. it goes into how kanji are applied differently to give sumo names their meaning
Sumostew is great and one of the reasons I got into watching the sport.

Sumostew, if you're out there, thank you for your goldmine of a channel and your passion for sumo. Your passion for the sport honestly got me crying after watching your first video because of how passionate you are about the subject.

Here's a nice wee video about Ura, which includes brief footage of him getting his pink mawashi. (I can't find the longer version because "Ura mawashi" is some kind of hook kick or something, and Google search is next to useless)
