Derailleurs cleaned up nice. Listed them both on ebay. Both are Fuji branded Suntour. This bike's going single speed.

First test ride! The freewheel is slipping a bit, so I'll need to replace that. But otherwise, smooth as silk!

I love the look of vintage components. Suntour didn’t have to make these shifters look so cool, but they did. I’m not sure why manufacturers abandoned aesthetics in the 1990s. Now I sound old. I am old 😶🌫️

One oddity of this frame is its top mount downtube shifter boss, originally meant for the very peculiar Suntour Symmetric shifters.
Suntour made an adapter for barcons back in the day, but they're impossible to find now.
Here's the adapted adapter I made, which looks like a Tie Fighter.

This is why I love Suntour. As my freewheel is playing up, I might change it from 13T-22T to 13T-28T and run it with the 52T-42T front chain rings with friction shifting. Rear spacing is 126 mm so it will fit. sheldonbrown.com/suntour-free...
