#SundayPixMagic The very first cone on my fir tree, a few years ago when it wasn't very tall (it's enormous now).
A stunning baby new cone growing in a fir tree. It has green segments trimmed in a fuchsia pink creating a pretty pattern. It has a smooth surface. A stunning baby new cone growing in a fir tree. It has green segments trimmed in a fuchsia pink creating a pretty pattern. It has a smooth surface.

#SundayPixMagic Getting cuddles from your cat.
A white and tabby cat, Eddie, cuddled up at the top of my chest, arm round mine holding, giving me love. And my face against the back of his head smiling.

A landscape photograph, from 2013. It is a bit fuzzy, as it was taken on my iPhone of a moving object at some distance. The foreground is trees, and the background is a mixture of trees, heather, bracken and bare earth sloping up a tall hill. Beyond the foreground trees is a stone viaduct. Five stone arches are just about visible, some more than others. Travelling (from left to right) across the viaduct is a train. Three blood red carriages are visible, with the black locomotive at their head. A tall and long plume of steam emerges from the rear end of the engine, billowing back across the coaches. Some of this white plume can be seen through the windows of the second carriage. And the magic? Well, it’s what is now known as the Harry Potter train, on the Glenfinnan Viaduct. A steam locomotive service that ran for decades before a word was written. Amazing engineering in a beautiful and dramatic landscape. It possesses a magic of its own. Mind you, try getting parked anywhere near Glenfinnan these days when the train is due through. If you do succeed, try the horsebox coffee cart by the kirk!

I always think rainbows are #SundayPixMagic but this full arc over the sea really is.
A view through an open window. The window panes can be seen on the left of the photo. The view is golden sand, blue green sea, and grey sky. A rainbow dips into the sea on the horizon.

My annual assessment. I'm 67 today after a roller coaster life. Sometimes it feels like #SundayPixMagic that I'm still here but I am and life is good.
So here I am bare faced facing the world head on.

Ok, so it's just a sparkler taped to a broom handle, dangled from the ceiling and spun around, but it LOOKS magical, and that'll have to do.

Even magic gardens have to close sometime.
The Magic Garden is now closed. The Dragon is snoring in his nest, the Beasts are hibernating in their lair, and the garden is fast asleep. They will wake up again in Spring! In the meantime, please see our website for activities and events in the Palace: Hampton Court Palace

Mother Shipton.

And Paul Daniel’s petrified rabbit.
Mother Shipton’s Cave in Knaresborough is linked to England’s legendary 16th-century prophetess, Ursula Southeil, whose predictions have become part of local folklore. Nearby, the famous Petrifying Well appears to turn everyday objects to stone as mineral-rich water coats them with limestone over time—one of Yorkshire’s most remarkable natural curiosities. You can hang things up in the waterfall that flows down from the cave and over the years the calcium deposits solidify them into stone. A white rabbit (toy) turned to stone PAUL DANIELS & DEBBIE McGEE Paul Daniels was a British magician and television performer. Most visitors remember the famous magician being involved with Mother Shipton's some years ago. He donated a bow tie and a white rabbit which belonged to his wife and on-screen assistant, Debbie McGee.
