A colorful and brightly lit tilt-a-whirl spins late at night. Its canopy is tilted, allowing the empty seats to fly skywards. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. sign is lit in white, but it too is empty. There are no people in sight, just the hauntingly cheery music and the sound of crashing waves as the tide rolls in, unseen below the pier.

#SundayPixNight Many of the nights I love best have happened at my family’s cottage north of Ottawa.

Flying in to the Louisville airport at night; my flight was one of the last & landed at midnight. It is so odd to walk through a closed airport; it's eerily quiet, the only footsteps heard were mine & the person behind me. Tap to open the image.

I always loved the sheer joy in the child's leap and outstretched arms.

Svalbard in May in beautiful sunny winter.
