Not all is as it seems at Sundridge Park in Bromley. The rocky grotto is not rock at all, but Pulhamite, a concrete used to simulate natural outcrop. There’s quite a lot of it about in London’s parks & gardens. Read more about Sundridge at londongeopartnership.org.uk/wp/wp-conten... #londongeology

Thirty miles east of there, the hoaxers had found the only decent use for a golf course, and put the fifth saucer on one, Sundridge Park in Bromley. Again, police took it to the station, but got pissed off with the beeping and stuck it outside until the MoD arrived. But what of the sixth…?

Humphry Repton's Red Book for Sundridge Park (1793) in Kent.
Repton was one of the first (if not THE first) to give us the still popular 'before & after' comparisons of a landscape development.
The reader would slide the flap to admire the proposed transformation. At the Garden Museum in London.

A great night at #Virdee. No spoilers, but it was very good. I hope episode two reveals how someone can get a mobile signal in Sundridge Wells though.

My mother lives in Sundridge Park and I must explore it to find this. We've already found one of David Bowie's childhood homes. The blue plaque helped.

Bromley - Sundridge and Bickley here. We were bombarded with Reform ads and virtually nothing else apart from one Hope Not Hate leaflet. Tories won all 3 seats. I doubt it was because of people like me who are centre-left wing, voting Tory to stop Reform, but who knows?
